Short Term 12 is a drama movie that was released on August 23, 2013. The lead actress of the film is Brie Larson who plays the role of Grace. Grace is a supervisor at a facility that helps to guide teenagers who are in foster care. Grace is in love with her co-worker and supervising partner Mason, played by actor John Gallagher Jr. Grace and Mason are faced with a tough road as they attempt to help these teenagers along while focusing on their own lives and the struggles they as individuals and as a couple endure.

Through a mixture of dramatic scenes and discussions, a bit of comedy is mixed in to break up the tone of the movie. Grace and Mason must find the love that exists between the two of them while attempting to keep the needs of the foster care kids in an equal balance.
